Doi campioni români ajung la Cornell. Americanii văd România ca pe o nouă sursă de talente în tenis
Two Romanian tennis players, Cezar Papoe and David Carteputredă, have joined Cornell University's men's team for the new season. The team recently won its first Ivy League title since 2017 and qualified for the NCAA tournament. Papoe, who has a strong junior record, aims to adapt to the faster hard courts in the U.S., while Carteputredă, a 12-time national champion, also faces challenges in adjusting to the American collegiate tennis style. Both players appreciate the combination of high-level tennis and strong academics at Cornell, influenced by Papoe's brother, a former player there. Coach Silviu Tănăsoiu emphasizes the need for adaptation to the university's rigorous demands.
