In the first semester of 2026, 31,958 housing units were completed, marking an increase from the previous year, with urban areas accounting for the majority. In the second quarter of 2026, private funding for housing rose significantly, while public funding saw a decline. Regional data shows growth in seven out of eight development regions, particularly in Bucharest-Ilfov, while the South-East region experienced a decrease in completed units.
