Arena Națională din București va găzdui finala UEFA Europa League din 2028
UEFA has officially designated Bucharest as the host city for the 2028 UEFA Europa League final, marking the second time the National Arena will host this event. The decision was made during the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece. This follows the arena's previous hosting of the 2012 final between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. The designation reflects UEFA's confidence in Romanian football, according to FRF President Răzvan Burleanu, who emphasized the opportunity for growth in Romanian professional football. The meeting also confirmed other European final hosts for 2028 and 2029, including Munich and Barcelona for the Champions League finals.
