Auchan România introduces the Smart Cart pilot project at its Drumul Taberei hypermarket, featuring shopping carts equipped with integrated tablets. This service is currently available to MyCLUB Auchan members with at least 1,000 loyalty points. Customers can scan their loyalty card to unlock a tablet, which digitizes handwritten shopping lists and displays ongoing offers. The system allows users to scan items before placing them in the cart, providing real-time visibility of the total cost. At checkout, customers can generate a payment code on the tablet for a quick transaction. Auchan aims to enhance the shopping experience through digital solutions, building on previous services like Scan&Go, which has seen significant growth in usage and transaction volume.
