Autoritățile din Turcia au arestat peste 160 de persoane din comunitatea LGBTQ+. Erdogan a declanșat operațiunea „Familia mea este în siguranță”
In Turkey, over 160 individuals were arrested during raids targeting LGBTQ+ businesses and associations as part of a government operation aimed at protecting traditional values. The Justice Minister stated that the operations were based on allegations of prostitution and obscenity, with legal actions initiated against several LGBTQ+ organizations. President Erdoğan has intensified pressure on the LGBTQ+ community, labeling them as 'perverse' and linking them to declining birth rates. Although same-sex relationships are not illegal, the government has implemented broader plans to promote family values and increase birth rates, while NGOs have criticized these actions as discriminatory. Additionally, access to numerous LGBTQ+ related websites and social media accounts was blocked during the raids.
