Bulgaria majorează pragul sărăciei la 443 de euro din 2027
The Bulgarian government, unions, and employers have agreed on a new poverty threshold for 2027, increasing it by 13.4% to 443 euros per month. This change will affect various social support measures, benefiting around 1.37 million Bulgarians living below this threshold. The Ministry of Labor estimates an additional budget requirement of approximately 94 million euros to accommodate the increased social payments. While the approved threshold is lower than union demands, it is expected to reduce the poverty rate by 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous year.
