BYD vrea să fabrice camioane în Europa. Compania chineză anunță că va produce local tot ce va vinde pe Bătrânul Continent - Economica.net

BYD plans to launch its first heavy-duty truck in Europe next year and aims to produce locally. Stella Li, head of international business, stated that the company wants to provide a complete service package for fleet operators. Local production would help BYD avoid import tariffs on trucks, which European manufacturers have requested against Chinese electric trucks. Li mentioned that tariffs are a short-term pressure until local production can ramp up. Additionally, BYD is expanding its car production capacity in Europe with a new factory in Hungary set to start next year. In the first eight months of this year, BYD sold over 1.16 million vehicles outside China, marking an 86% increase from last year.
