CNAIR has initiated the testing phase of the TollRo platform, a new road toll system for heavy vehicles in Romania. This system will charge fees based on distance traveled and is set to launch on October 1, 2026. The TollRo app, available for free on iOS and Android, aims to simplify toll payments for drivers and transport operators. During the pilot phase, the app's functionalities will be tested and adjusted based on user feedback. Key features include toll calculation, secure online payment, user account management, and transaction history. The implementation of the toll system is part of a broader effort to enhance road infrastructure and interoperability with EU systems by January 2027.
