Lidl's 15-year presence in Romania has generated a total economic impact of €19.2 billion, equivalent to building over 500 kilometers of highway. The company invested €2.7 billion directly and contributed €3.9 billion to the state budget. Lidl's operations supported over 679,000 full-time jobs and collaborated with over 3,300 local suppliers, directing €16.4 billion to them. The retailer's growth has significantly influenced the Romanian economy, demonstrating its role as a key player in the retail sector. Lidl plans to continue investing in Romania to further stimulate economic growth.
