A man was sentenced to one year and four months in prison for sending threatening and insulting SMS messages to a lawyer. The court found that he sent 93 messages and made seven calls between December 2022 and January 2023, expressing dissatisfaction with a legal matter. The judge noted that the frequency and content of the messages caused the lawyer to feel real fear. The court ruled that a direct legal assistance contract was not necessary for the charges of judicial insult, as the messages were related to the lawyer's professional activities. In addition to the prison sentence, the man is prohibited from contacting the lawyer or approaching him within 100 meters for two years. The decision is not final, and the man has appealed.
