Flacăra Olimpică a ajuns în Senegal

The Youth Olympic Flame has arrived in Senegal, marking the final preparations for Dakar 2026, the first Olympic event in Africa. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye welcomed the flame at the Presidential Palace, meeting with IOC President Kirsty Coventry. The flame will tour all 14 regions of Senegal starting September 14, with over 30 stops before returning to Dakar for the opening ceremony. The Games will take place from October 31 to November 13, featuring around 2,700 young athletes competing in Dakar, Diamniadio, and Saly. This event emphasizes youth, sports, and Senegal's cultural diversity, promoting values of friendship, solidarity, and inclusion.
