Construction on the Margina–Holdea section of the A1 highway has surpassed 75% completion, with the final meters of the long tunnel being excavated. This marks the end of a challenging phase of the project, as the contractor also works on the final structure of the galleries. Key tasks include the execution of the foundation, waterproofing, reinforcement, and final concrete lining of the tunnel. The area is significant for local residents, connecting Sebeș to the western border of the country. Additionally, work continues on bridges and viaducts, with around 80 beams produced for the first passage. The next step involves installing beams on a viaduct over a kilometer long, while the binder layer of the road structure is being laid in both Margina and Holdea.
