Three individuals are under investigation for smuggling and qualified theft after police conducted searches in Ghindărești, Constanța County. They are suspected of stealing fuel from vessels on the Danube. The investigation is led by the Transport Safety Service and prosecutors from Hârșova. An 18-year-old was caught in the act stealing fuel from a passing ship. Six search warrants were executed at the homes of three suspects aged 40 to 49, where police seized around 2,500 liters of diesel and other items. The suspects were taken for questioning as investigations continue to determine the full extent of the criminal activity.
