INS: Investițiile în economie au crescut cu 12% în prima jumătate a anului

In the first semester of 2026, net investments in the national economy reached 100.515 billion lei, marking a real increase of 11.9% compared to the same period in 2025. In the second quarter of 2026, net investments rose by 17.8% year-on-year, driven by a 21.5% increase in new construction works and an 18.1% rise in machinery and transport equipment. However, other investment expenditures saw a decline of 6.9%. The first semester also showed a significant growth in machinery investments by 18.5% and new construction by 16.9%, while other investment expenditures dropped by 25.4%. Net investments are crucial for creating and modernizing fixed assets and include various related costs.
