A new ammunition factory will be built in Sadu by US Ballistic, with a $25 million investment over five years. The facility will produce NATO 155 mm ammunition and create 150 jobs initially, with plans for gradual expansion. The project includes infrastructure improvements and a 10-year lease for UM Sadu, which had been underperforming financially. The technology transfer will remain in Romania, marking a significant advancement for the local defense industry.
