Mesajul regizoarei Alina Șerban, după performanța de la Veneția: „Am pornit la drum pentru tinerii din medii dezavantajate”
The Romanian film "Eu contez," directed by Alina Șerban, won the Audience Award at the Venice Film Festival, marking a significant achievement for Romanian cinema. The film tells the story of a young Roma girl leaving the child protection system, inspired by Șerban's own experiences. This makes her the first Roma female director to receive an award at this prestigious event. Upon returning to Romania, she expressed her gratitude and emphasized the film's message of hope for disadvantaged youth. The film will be released in Romanian cinemas in February next year.
