The Archbishop of Sibiu and Metropolitan of Transylvania, Laurențiu, celebrated a Divine Liturgy at the Schitul "Acoperământul Maicii Domnului" in Șura Mare, emphasizing the significance of the Cross in Christian life. He highlighted the Cross as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice and the reconciliation between humanity and God. The event was attended by the monastic community, local believers, and officials, with a message focusing on the importance of salvation. At the end of the service, the administrator of the schitul expressed gratitude to the Metropolitan for his blessings and support. The schitul was established in 2012 and continues to thrive with the help of dedicated monks.
