Nicușor Dan în Arctica și lecția finlandeză

President Nicușor Dan attended the Arctic Summit in Finland, aiming to enhance Romania's international relevance. He emphasized Romania's strategic importance on the eastern flank, linking threats in the Arctic to those faced by Romania. The summit concluded with a joint declaration from 12 countries, highlighting the strategic significance of the Arctic region amid increasing competition among major powers. Dan's visit also aimed to learn from Finland's defense strategies, which include a comprehensive security doctrine and a robust reserve system. Despite Romania's higher defense spending, Finland's military preparedness is notably stronger. Dan's discussions included strengthening the southern flank and supporting Moldova, although the outcomes of his participation remain unclear.
