The sanitary, heating, and air conditioning installation industry in Romania reached a turnover of 15.79 billion lei in 2025, marking a 13% increase from the previous year. Despite this growth, the number of employees remained stable. The market is highly fragmented, with over 9,000 micro-enterprises among more than 10,000 registered firms, while only six are classified as large companies. Currently, there are 27,695 registered firms in this sector, with 16,769 operational. The industry has shown continuous growth, particularly in the last five years, starting from a turnover of 3.6 billion lei in 2008.
