The United States has signed a $4 billion loan agreement with Poland to finance the purchase of American military equipment. The funds will support existing contracts and new acquisitions, including AH-64E Apache helicopters and potentially F-35 fighter jets. Since 2022, Poland has entered into six FMF agreements with the U.S., totaling $19.08 billion. This financing, managed through the Polish Armed Forces Support Fund, aims to modernize Poland's military capabilities. However, the fund's debt has increased significantly, raising concerns about future financial sustainability. Poland's military modernization program remains one of the largest in Europe, heavily reliant on Western, particularly American, technology.
