Denmark is preparing its Church for a potential large-scale war in Europe, with military chaplains set to train parish priests for military funerals. Starting in January, priests will learn to handle a significant number of military deaths, anticipating casualties of 10 to 20 soldiers daily. The military chaplains, currently numbering 95, will require support from civilian priests due to the expected high volume of funerals. Denmark has allocated 1.8 million Danish crowns for this training as part of its defense agreement. The military is also increasing recruitment in response to rising tensions, aiming for 7,500 recruits annually by 2033.
