Radu Miruță mistakenly mispronounced the name of the famous Romanian canoeist Ivan Patzaichin while presenting a new TAROM aircraft. The error occurred during a video meant to highlight the new Boeing 737 MAX, which will bear Patzaichin's name. Despite being a celebrated athlete with multiple Olympic medals, Miruță referred to him incorrectly as "Ivan Patzachin". The presentation also emphasized the aircraft's newness and its significance for TAROM, which had been planning this acquisition since 2018.
