Românii care comandă produse ieftine de pe platforme precum Temu sau Shein ar putea plăti o nouă taxă UE
Starting November 1, a new processing fee will be applied to small packages from outside the EU, in addition to the existing customs fee. This measure aims to cover the rising costs of monitoring the increasing number of small parcels entering the EU through e-commerce. The exact amount of the new fee is yet to be determined by the European Commission. The responsibility for customs formalities will shift to non-EU e-commerce platforms, which will be considered importers. This change is intended to address the surge in online trade with inexpensive products from outside the EU, particularly from China, and to enhance safety standards for products entering the European market.
