Românii care comandă produse ieftine de pe platforme precum Temu sau Shein ar putea plăti o nouă taxă UE, separată de cea de 3 euro introdusă în iulie • Social Biz Brasov
Starting November, Romanians ordering cheap products from platforms like Temu or Shein may face a new EU processing fee, in addition to the existing €3 customs charge. This fee aims to cover rising costs associated with monitoring the increasing number of small parcels entering the EU. The exact amount of the new fee is yet to be determined by the European Commission. The measures are intended to address the surge in online trade of inexpensive goods from outside the EU, particularly from China, which has put pressure on customs authorities. Stricter controls and penalties for non-compliance are also part of the reform, with potential fines reaching up to 6% of a company's annual import value.
