The National Celebrations in memory of Avram Iancu took place on September 13, 2026, at the Pantheon of the Moți in Țebea, marking 154 years since his death. The event gathered participants from various regions to honor this key figure of the 1848-1849 Romanian Revolution in Transylvania. The ceremonies included a religious service, military honors, and wreath-laying at Iancu's grave. Known as the 'Crăișorul Munților', Iancu is remembered for his fight for freedom and justice for Romanians in Transylvania. He died in 1872 and was buried in Țebea, where his memory is celebrated annually, reflecting his significant role in the struggle for Romanian rights and liberties.
