The mission, named "Service Test" 1, was launched by Sceye to test its capabilities in emergency response situations. The airship operates like a mobile phone tower in the sky, using helium for lift and solar cells for power. During the test, it demonstrated mobile communication capabilities, including text messaging and video streaming. Sceye aims to compete with low Earth orbit satellites by providing extensive coverage without the high operational costs of space launches.
