The operation involved lowering the church's wooden roof and cross using a crane. Gigi Becali confirmed plans to move the church but has not disclosed the new location. The dismantling follows a legal dispute regarding unauthorized construction in a protected area, which led to a fine from the Environmental Guard. The case is under appeal, and the Environmental Guard has also reported the matter to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation. The church's removal coincided with the Orthodox celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
