The criminal and bankruptcy proceedings serve different purposes, with the prosecutor gathering evidence for potential criminal responsibility and the syndic managing bankruptcy assets. The investigation into Zondacrypto began in April for fraud and money laundering, with thousands of crime reports filed. It has since merged with another investigation related to the disappearance of Sylwester Suszek, with notable arrests made.
