12 arrested and about five thousand liters of fuel seized near São Rafael beach

The GNR reported the arrest of 12 individuals and the seizure of approximately 5,000 liters of fuel intended for drug trafficking support near São Rafael beach in Albufeira. Among those detained, there is a 15-year-old minor. The arrests occurred during a coastal surveillance operation when suspicious activities were detected, leading to the interception of individuals attempting to transfer fuel into a vessel. A total of 196 fuel jerrycans were confiscated, along with two vehicles, one with false registration, and seven mobile phones.
