12 European Union countries will put strategic reserves on the market by the end of January

Twelve EU countries, including Portugal, will release 42.5 million barrels of oil and fuels from strategic reserves by the end of January. This decision was made during the recent EU Energy Ministers' meeting in Luxembourg. The released fuel is part of the 426 million barrels made available by the International Energy Agency in March. Half of the released volume will be diesel, which has faced significant price pressure recently.
