Bank transfers up to 150 thousand forints will be exempt from fees

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced that the limit for tax-free bank transfers will increase from 50,000 HUF to 150,000 HUF. This change aims to ease financial transactions for the public. Earlier reports suggested that the government might triple the tax-free transfer limit by 2027. Although banks will be responsible for the transaction fees, these costs are likely to be passed on to customers.
