302,000 Russian soldiers killed or wounded by Ukrainian drones since January, Defense Ministry says
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that since January 2026, Ukrainian drones have killed or severely wounded 302,000 Russian soldiers. This data is verified through the Delta combat system and the Brave1 defense innovation cluster. An incentive system rewards combat units for verified enemy losses, allowing them to acquire more drones and equipment. In September alone, 46,230 Russian soldiers were reported killed or wounded, with drones accounting for about 70% of these casualties. The use of drones has transformed battlefield tactics, reducing the presence of heavy equipment like tanks due to their vulnerability to UAVs.
