35,000 antibodies planned by Anthropic's artificial intelligence could help overcome food allergies
Recent advancements in artificial intelligence, particularly with Anthropic's Claude model, have shown promise in drug development and treatment for food allergies. The system generated 35,000 antibody designs, with initial tests indicating several candidates for treating food allergies. Divergence Labs, collaborating with Anthropic, reported improved antibody stability and a significant reduction in document review time. Researchers are focusing on a treatment targeting immunoglobulin E (IgE), identifying three effective designs that outperform traditional drugs. Additionally, Anthropic is involved in enhancing CAR-T cell therapy, which genetically modifies patient immune cells to combat cancer, showing potential for broader applications beyond blood cancers. However, further studies are needed to confirm these findings in patients.
