40 affordable houses from IHRU arrive in Bragança

The Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU) plans to build 40 affordable rental homes in Bragança, as announced by the mayor. The construction will take place on IHRU-owned land in Quinta da Braguinha and will be fully funded by the institute. The mayor emphasized the importance of these homes in addressing local housing demand, with construction expected to start by the end of the year. Additionally, Bragança is rehabilitating six social housing units and plans further renovations for low-income families, although some projects were not financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan due to previous administration failures.
