They wanted to go 500 km/h with the BYD electric hypercar, it ended in a serious accident – video

The BYD Yangwang U9 Xtreme, a nearly 3000-horsepower electric supercar, crashed during a test in China while attempting to reach 500 km/h. The incident occurred on a closed track, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle, including the complete detachment of the rear suspension. Despite the crash, the driver emerged unharmed. The U9 Xtreme previously achieved a speed of 496.22 km/h, earning it the title of the world's fastest production car. BYD aims to surpass the 500 km/h mark in November in the UAE, but it remains unclear if the crash will affect these plans.
