70 people are still being searched for as missing after the Spanish railway tragedy
Authorities reported seventy missing persons following the train accident in Urdai, according to Emiliano García-Page, president of Castilla-La Mancha. The number of missing could be higher, and more fatalities cannot be ruled out. Confirmed fatalities remain at sixty-nine, with human remains also found at the scene. The tragedy occurred when a Renfe high-speed train collided with another high-speed train from Iryo. Over five hundred passengers were on board both trains. Investigators are examining communication between the control center and the train drivers, with leaked recordings suggesting the Renfe train was not warned about the stationary train ahead.
