The Felcsút Academy could only pump eight billion forints into football academies abroad last year.
The Felcsút Academy received significant funding from the government, totaling 15.44 billion HUF last season, with nearly half allocated for cross-border football academies. This funding is part of a larger 1407 billion HUF investment in sports since 2015. The academy can distribute state support to ten approved sports organizations beyond Hungary's borders. Despite the funding, the Hungarian national team has not benefited significantly from these investments, as many players from these regions have chosen to represent other national teams. The government plans to phase out this funding model starting January, maintaining overall sports support at 453 billion HUF.
