Fidesz does not support the current version of the bill on state assets
Palóc André, the Fidesz spokesperson, announced that the party will not support the proposed law on state assets in its current form. He expressed concerns that the proposal allows foreign-backed fund managers to influence decisions regarding strategically important Hungarian assets, jeopardizing domestic control. He pointed out that under the 60% threshold for changing fund managers, minority investors would have to endure decisions without exit options or compensation. Palóc emphasized that retroactively altering previous conditions undermines minority investor protection and erodes investor confidence.
