In Gaza, Israeli strikes kill five people, according to Palestinian rescue services
On November 2, five individuals died due to Israeli strikes in Gaza, with several others injured. Three fatalities occurred in Khan Younès, including one from Israeli gunfire and two from drone strikes targeting displaced persons. In northern Gaza, a civilian vehicle was hit, resulting in one death, while another person died from drone shrapnel in the central region. The Israeli army claimed to have targeted terrorists in these areas and plans to release a detailed statement. Both Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating the ceasefire established on October 10, 2025, following a significant conflict that began with a major attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Since the ceasefire, over 1,550 Palestinians have reportedly been killed, according to Gaza's health ministry, which is under Hamas's authority and considered reliable by the UN.
