According to the leader of the winning Serbian opposition, the first issue will be the investigation of the Novi Sad railway station disaster.

Ilija Srdanovic, leader of the winning Student List in Serbia's parliamentary elections, emphasized the need to investigate the collapse of the Novi Sad train station canopy and hold responsible parties accountable. He highlighted the importance of addressing alleged corruption related to the tragedy and ensuring justice for the victims and their families. Srdanovic mentioned that legal experts will propose solutions to improve the functioning of the judiciary and police. He aims to restore public trust in state institutions and expressed hope for successful government formation and implementation of student programs. The canopy collapse resulted in 16 deaths and sparked nationwide protests demanding accountability, linking the incident to corruption and irregularities in investments, which the government denied.
