The Hungarian government signed a funding agreement worth €254.1 million with Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein for the 2021-2028 period. Minister Viktória Lőrincz announced that significant amounts will be allocated for green transition, local development, healthcare, and a Civil Fund managed by an independent organization. She assured that the funds will be used transparently and effectively. The agreement includes allocations such as €80 million for green transition and €42 million for local developments. Finance Minister András Kármán emphasized the commitment to transparency and swift progress, noting that Hungary lost nearly €215 million in the previous cycle due to the prior government's refusal to accept independent fund distribution.
