The public media is terminating its contract with the IKO production company

Hungary's public media has announced the termination of its contract with IKO Media Production, effective October 31, 2026. The decision follows a shift in strategy to produce programs under the Petőfi brand internally. IKO had collaborated with the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) since April 2023 for the production of content for M2 Petőfi TV and Petőfi Radio. The termination allows MRTV to retain all rights to completed programs, with IKO relinquishing its usage rights. Both parties emphasized maintaining operational continuity during this transition.
