At RATP, FO becomes the leading union ahead of CGT
For the first time in five years, RATP employees voted for their representatives, with Force ouvrière (FO) winning 36.84% of the votes, surpassing CGT, which received 28.42%. UNSA and CFE-CGC followed with 21.74% and 10.72%, respectively. The election, held from October 19 to 23, saw a participation rate of 68.23%, exceeding the required quorum. FO secured a majority in five of the eleven social and economic committees, particularly in metros and RERs, while CGT maintained dominance in infrastructure and maintenance. This election reflects RATP's transition from a monopoly to a competitive environment, with many employees being transferred to private subsidiaries due to market liberalization.
