Eight days after the intervention, Leone at St. Peter's Square in the papal car

Eight days after his lung surgery, the Pope returns to St. Peter's Square in the popemobile to greet the faithful before the general audience. The vehicle is open-sided but has a roof to protect him from the rain. He greets and blesses the crowd, which includes thousands of attendees. The popemobile stops for him to bless children presented to him.
