The fall of the Berlin Wall: the choice of Francis of Assisi

Francisco Assis, a Portuguese MEP, emphasizes the fall of the Berlin Wall as a pivotal event in the 40 years of Portugal's EU integration. As Portugal prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in the EU in 2026, RTP Europa has asked Portuguese MEPs to highlight significant events from this period. This initiative is part of the RTP Notícias program, "Terra Europa," in collaboration with the European Parliament.
