In the tenders announced for wind turbines, offers totaling 2300 megawatts were received for a capacity of 700 megawatts.

The application phase for wind power projects has concluded, with 37 applicants submitting 46 proposals. The total requested capacity is 1834 MVA, while the planned wind farms have a nominal capacity of 2289 MWe. Applicants committed to establishing 1947 MWh of energy storage capacity. Minister István Kapitány noted significant interest, with nearly 2300 MW of new wind power proposed, although only about 700 MW can connect to the grid initially. The Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) will publish preliminary results by December 13, 2026. The evaluation committee will assess compliance with legal requirements within eight days, allowing for one opportunity to rectify any deficiencies in documentation.
