The stock exchange has suspended trading of Bayer Construct's bonds
Bayer Construct, currently in bankruptcy proceedings, has failed to inform the Budapest Stock Exchange about a 3.01 billion HUF debt repayment due, leading to the suspension of its bond trading. The company was also required to pay 1.1 billion HUF in interest. Despite being under a payment moratorium since September 25, the BÉT's decision was based on the lack of communication regarding the repayment status. The company's financial troubles stem from a failed state sale of an office complex, and its revenue has significantly dropped compared to the previous year. The Hungarian National Bank is also affected due to its substantial bond holdings in Bayer Construct, which has been downgraded to a default category by Scope Ratings.
