The government presents the details of the Wekerle program

The Hungarian government plans to support housing construction and energy modernization through the Wekerle programs, including affordable housing and subsidized loans. The Wekerle Housing and Dormitory Construction Program aims to increase the availability of affordable housing and dormitory spaces, with a budget of 30 billion HUF from EU development funds by 2027. The new Wekerle+ Loan will offer fixed interest rates for young first-time homebuyers, while the Wekerle+ Savings Scheme will assist in accumulating down payments with state contributions. Additionally, the Wekerle+ Renovation Support and Loan will be available for energy modernization without marriage or childbearing obligations, offering significant financial support for renovations.
