A2 will gain lanes, drivers will lose time. Disruptions already in November
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has signed the last contract for the expansion of the A2 motorway between Łódź and Warsaw. This involves a nearly 28-kilometer section between the Łódź Północ and Łowicz interchanges, with Budimex as the contractor for over 453 million PLN. The entire project covers 92 km, adding an extra lane to most of the route, increasing capacity significantly. Construction will begin in November, with temporary traffic changes implemented. The project aims to enhance traffic flow on one of Poland's busiest motorways, expected to be completed by 2028. Additionally, the A2 will become Poland's first energy self-sufficient motorway, utilizing renewable energy sources.
