Lisbon Camp accepts Seguro's invitation for a meeting

The Acampada de Lisboa accepted an invitation for a meeting with President António José Seguro, following a popular assembly where the decision was overwhelmingly approved. This meeting comes after a court ruling allowed a protester to remain overnight in Rossio, challenging the previous restrictions on protest hours. The ruling permits the protest to continue until November 24, 2026, while the Ministry of Internal Administration clarified that the court's decision does not validate the legality of police interventions. Recent protests have focused on housing rights, leading to police actions that resulted in injuries and prompted inquiries from the President regarding police conduct.
